We were saying prayers with Cohen before bedtime tonight. As usual, he sat quietly while we prayed for family members and said what we’re thankful for. Tonight, though, as we finished, he said, “Again.” So we walked him through another one and let him finish each sentence. This is Cohen’s first prayer:
Thank you for... Dada.
Thank you for... Mama.
Thank you for... backhoes.
Thank you for... pinecones.
Thank you for... basketball hoops.
Thank you for... slides.
Thank you for... little slides.
Amen.
