We had a wonderful Easter weekend. Cristen’s brother and parents joined us, and we couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather. We spent as much time outside as possible.
Sidewalk chalk (from Gammy and Grandpa) was a favorite. We now have backhoes, buses, and basketballs decorating our driveway. And, thanks to Uncle Matthew’s touch - a rendering of the Hindenburg disaster (with slight artistic liberties taken).

Thanks to Uncle David and Auntie Liz, Cohen ended the day with some finger painting.
Before heading off to Easter service on Sunday, we took a few family pictures in the back yard.
Later in the afternoon, Cohen got his Easter basket. He is obsessed with backhoes and other large machinery, so we decided to make an Easter basket surrounding that theme. And as you'll see in the pictures below, it was a weekend of injuries. Cohen loves to run, so a sidewalk stumble on Friday gave him his first fat lip, while a fall on the driveway on Saturday resulted in his scraped nose and hand. These paled in comparison to Uncle Matthew's broken bone in his wrist, which he sustained after falling off of a 20 year-old skateboard.
We hope you all had a wonderful Easter celebration!

Hey Cristen, sidewalk chalk and no drive-ways for those backhoes? :P The family pics are great, and I love that you have so many trees in your back yard!
