We have so much to be thankful for this year! Cohen has caused us to be more reflective and grateful for big gifts (family & friends), many things that we often took for granted (health, sleep), and countless simple pleasures (children's laughter and discovery of the world around them).
We spent Thanksgiving day with Cristen’s parents and brother in Roanoke. We had a great time visiting, eating delicious food, and spending time outside on a beautiful fall day. Though we should know this by now, we were again amazed at Cohen's ability to stay in a great mood around larger groups of people without napping all day.

On Friday, we spent the afternoon with our sweet friends who weren’t able to see their family over the holiday weekend. Then we went on the search for our Christmas tree. Though Cohen wasn’t so interested in the perusing the tree lot, his interest was piqued later that evening when he began fishing through the Christmas decorations boxes. We swapped out all of our glass ornaments with "shatter-proof" versions and put some kid-friendly ornaments on the bottom few branches so he can play with them. He is fascinated with the decorated tree and loves playing “I Spy” to find specific ornaments.
It is amazing to see the joy of Christmas through the excitement of a little 14 month old!
Oh, I just wish I could meet him! I love seeing his love of life through these pictures. Looks like a wonderful holiday time!
