10 Months

At your last doctor's appointment (9 months):
19.5 lbs (25th percentile)
29 inches long (50th percentile)

So much has happened in the last month!

3 weeks ago, you had just become a crawler.  You had the look of a drunk crab as you progressed just a few feet at a time.  One week later, the drunk crab maneuvering had become much more efficient, and you were zooming across a room.

Now, within the last 2 weeks, you developed a normal crawl, you can pull yourself up and stand (holding onto something) with confidence, and most recently, you can walk independently while pushing your walker.

You are eating a much broader variety of table foods.  Your little fingers are so much better at picking up bits of food, so we are enjoying the ability to eat dinner with you as you independently feed yourself.

You’re consistently sleeping through the night from 7:30pm – 6:00am.

You love water – taking baths, going swimming, washing your hands.  Bath time makes you so excited because you get to splash.

You’ve added “b” and “d” sounds to your vocabulary, making your babbling so much fun to listen to.

Music now makes you dance.  You smile, clap, and do little wiggles when you hear familiar songs.

You have an increasing understanding cause and effect and patterns.  We enjoy watching your mind at work and your wonderful curiosity.

You’ve learned to wave.  Lexi gets consistent “hello” waves from you in the morning, and your daycare teachers get the “goodbye” wave.

We are amazed at how much you have grown up in the last month.  You bring us endless joy and countless smiles every day.  Though it’s occasionally bittersweet to realize how fast time is flying by, we are so in love with you and the little boy you’re becoming.
